Horn Lake Middle School Library Policies
Students may check out up to 4 books at a time of their choice.
You can check your account by logging into Destiny above. This allows you to see what books you have checked out, place books on hold, and check fines.
If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, the student who checked out the book is responsible for the replacement cost of the book. FInes for devices can be the current cost of the device if lost, $50 for a cracked screen, $50 for a missing charger, and $25 for a missing case.
Books are checked out for a period of 4 weeks. You can renew your books at the library without having them with you. Just let Ms. Linneman know!
Students will come to the library with their ELA teacher once every two weeks. The library also has open checkout before school (6:50-7:08) and during break.
Please use Schoology, email or call Ms. Linneman if you have any questions or need any help!
If you are wanting to be matched with some book recommendations, fill out the digital Google form here and Ms. Linneman will email you back ASAP

I grew up outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and attended York College of Pennsylvania. I moved to North Carolina and taught Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies before moving to Desoto County. In my first year here, I taught Title Reading, before becoming the librarian. Some of my hobbies include reading, knitting, and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I love to travel and often go to visit family and friends back in Pennsylvania.
Some of my favorite books:
The Hate U give by Angie Thomas
The Parker Inheritance by Varian Johnson
